Campaigners – Philippians 1:12-30 (Jenna)

Posted by tatescreekyl on August 24, 2008

Intro to Paul’s situation:

-Paul used to be a Pharisee and is also a citizen of Rome. These things gave him a little more effectiveness in preaching the gospel because they held some validity for the people in Rome and the religious leaders

-At the peak of his effectiveness he was thrown in jail for 2 years, then deserted on an island then 2 more years in jail

-He was on house arrest at his own expense and chained to a Roman guard 24/7

-The guards he was chained to were the same people who were sent out to lead/rule over new provinces of Rome.

This is just the beginning..

Friends,

I hope this website will be something that you visit often on your journey. This will hopefully be a place were you can come to be encouraged in your daily walk, see what is going on in campaigners (and what you may have missed), and find other resources that will help. Please interact with this blog. Make comments, ask questions, talk about what is going on and how the Bible is relevant in your life. Use this as a tool to start real conversations.

Let me know if there is anything we can do to make this page better. It is a huge work in progress and whatever feedback you have would be awesome.

-Steve
